Can you 3D print my STL file?

Almost always, yes. If the mesh is watertight and the part fits inside 256 × 256 × 256 mm, it can go on a machine as it is. If it does not, we will tell you what needs changing — a split, a thicker wall, a repaired mesh — before anything is printed and before you have paid for anything.

Being able to pick the phone up is the difference here. Plenty of services will silently print exactly what you sent and post you a part that was never going to work. We would rather spend two minutes telling you why.

How to get your STL file printed

If you've got an STL file, we can print it. The process is straightforward: use our instant quote tool, upload your file, choose your quality level and delivery option, then confirm your order. We'll take it from there.

Your file is read directly in your browser — it never leaves your device until you confirm an order. The price is calculated from your file's actual geometry, so what you see is what you get (subject to final confirmation if support requirements are unusual).

What file format do you need?

STL is what we need — both binary and ASCII formats are supported. It's the standard export from almost every 3D design tool:

• Fusion 360 — File → Export → STL
• FreeCAD — File → Export → *.stl
• Blender — File → Export → Stl (.stl)
• TinkerCAD — Export → .STL
• SolidWorks — File → Save As → STL
• OnShape — Right-click part → Export → STL

What material will my print be in?

We print exclusively in PETG — an engineering-grade thermoplastic that's significantly tougher than PLA. PETG handles temperatures up to around 80°C, resists moisture, and doesn't get brittle over time. For functional parts, it's the right choice. Colours available

Black is our standard filament and is included in every base price. White is available for a small surcharge. If you need a specific colour, select "Other" in the quote tool and note what you're looking for — we'll confirm availability before printing.

How accurate is the instant quote?

Very accurate for most standard prints. The tool reads your file's solid volume and uses that to estimate material, print time and running costs. Where the quote may vary slightly is for parts requiring significant support material, which isn't always possible to predict from geometry alone. We'll always confirm the final price before we start.

Can you print multiple files in one order?

Yes — the quote tool lets you upload multiple STL files and handles each separately with its own quantity and colour controls. There's one £5 order handling fee per order regardless of how many parts you're printing.

What are your build limits?

Our Bambu Lab printers have a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. If your part is larger than this, it will need to be split into sections for printing. We can advise on the best way to do this — get in touch if you're not sure.

Local to Suffolk? Collect it instead

If you are in or near Mildenhall, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Ely or Thetford, choose "Collect" in the quote tool and there is no postage to pay. It is also usually a day quicker than the post. Local customers with a broken original and no file at all are welcome to bring it over — ring first so someone is definitely in.
