Josh, founder of 3D Guru, Mildenhall, Suffolk

Hi, I'm Josh.

I run 3D Guru from our workshop in Mildenhall, with my wife and our designer alongside me. I come from an IT background, which is why the quote tool does the maths for you in the browser instead of making you wait for an email, and why we care about getting the details right the first time.

We're a small team, and that's deliberate. When you email, one of us replies — usually me. Our designer handles the modelling when a part needs designing from scratch or a broken original needs recreating, and every print is checked by hand before it goes in the post. If something can't be done well in PETG, we'll say so rather than take the job.

What we do

We print 3D parts for people and businesses who need functional components rather than decorative objects. All our printing is done in PETG — an engineering-grade thermoplastic that's stronger, tougher and more heat-resistant than the PLA that many other services default to.

Our instant quote tool reads your STL file directly in your browser, calculates the price from your part's actual geometry, and lets you place an order or request a quote without needing an account or speaking to anyone first. If you have something more unusual — a part that needs modelling, an application with specific requirements, a batch order — we're easy to reach and happy to talk through what you need.

Our equipment

We print on Bambu Lab machines — some of the most capable FDM printers currently available. They're fast, accurate, and maintain consistent dimensional tolerances across a print run. We print exclusively in PETG at three layer height settings:

Our own product range

Alongside custom work, we design and sell our own range of PETG parts — vehicle cup holders and interior fittings, wall brackets for tools and batteries, and replacement clips for parts manufacturers no longer supply. They're sold to customers across the UK through our Amazon storefront, and they're printed on exactly the same machines, in the same material, with the same checks as every custom order. It's the best evidence we can offer of what your part will look like.

What we don't do

We don't print in PLA, resin, or other materials — just PETG. We don't offer post-processing services like painting or sanding. We don't provide CAD design services as a commercial offering, though we'll sometimes help with simple modelling for regular customers. If your project needs something we can't help with, we'll tell you honestly rather than take the job and disappoint you.

Where we are

We're based in Mildenhall, west Suffolk. Local customers are welcome to collect orders for free — just select "Collect" in the quote tool. For everyone else, we ship UK-wide by Royal Mail tracked post.

Our other site

We also run 3D Print My Parts, which is the same workshop and the same machines — it's simply the front door for customers anywhere in the UK who have a file ready and want a price without a conversation first. If you're local to Suffolk, or you'd rather talk it through, you're in the right place here.

Get in touch
