Files & models

What file format do you need?
We need STL files — both binary and ASCII formats are supported. STL is the standard 3D printing export from Fusion 360, FreeCAD, Blender, TinkerCAD, OnShape, SolidWorks and virtually every other 3D design tool. If you have a file in another format (STEP, OBJ, 3MF), contact us and we'll see what we can do.
What if I don't have an STL file?
If your part is broken or missing, you may be able to find a model online at sites like Printables, Thingiverse or GrabCAD — search for your equipment make and model. If nothing is available, contact us with photos and measurements. We can sometimes create a simple model for a small design fee. See our guide: How to measure a broken replacement part.
What is the maximum part size?
Our Bambu Lab printers have a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Parts larger than this need to be split and printed in sections. We can advise on the best way to split your model — get in touch if you're not sure.

Material & quality

What material do you print in?
We print exclusively in PETG — an engineering-grade thermoplastic with significantly better heat resistance, impact resistance and moisture resistance than PLA. PETG is rated to approximately 80°C, handles vibration and mechanical stress well, and doesn't get brittle in damp conditions. Read our full comparison: PETG vs PLA for functional parts.
What quality levels do you offer?
We offer three layer height settings:
  • Draft (0.30 mm) — Fastest, visible layer lines, structurally sound. Good for functional prototypes.
  • Standard (0.20 mm) — Our most popular. Good balance of quality and speed. Best value.
  • Fine (0.12 mm) — Highest detail, finest surface texture, takes longer. For visible surfaces and tight tolerances.
What colours are available?
Black is our standard colour, included in the base price. White is available for a small surcharge (+£3 per order). Other colours may be available — select "Other" in the quote tool and note what you need. We'll confirm availability before printing.
How dimensionally accurate are your prints?
Our Bambu Lab machines typically hold tolerances of ±0.2 mm for most features. This is adequate for most bracket, clip and housing applications. For tighter tolerance work, we recommend designing in appropriate clearance and testing a single print first. Fine (0.12 mm) layer height and careful part orientation both help with accuracy.

Ordering & pricing

How does the instant quote work?
Upload your STL file to our quote tool. The tool reads your file's geometry directly in your browser — it calculates the solid volume of your part and uses that to estimate material weight, print time, electricity and machine wear. The price is typically accurate for standard prints. For unusually complex geometry (lots of overhangs requiring support, very thin walls) we may adjust slightly, but always confirm before starting.
Is the price final?
The instant quote is very accurate for most parts, but it's an estimate rather than a fixed price until we confirm. If anything about your part means the cost will differ from the quote, we'll let you know before we start printing. You're never committed to a price you haven't agreed to.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our Square payment integration. Card details are handled securely by Square — they never touch our servers. We also accept payment by invoice for batch orders arranged through the contact page.
Is there a minimum order?
There is a £5 minimum part price and a £5 order handling fee per order. For very small parts where the geometry-based price is below £5, the part price is raised to £5. There's no minimum quantity — you can order a single part.

Delivery & collection

How long does an order take?
Most orders are dispatched within 2–3 working days of payment confirmation. Larger batches (20+ units) may take longer — we'll confirm your timescale before starting. We don't promise what we can't deliver.
Can I collect my order?
Yes — collection is free from our Mildenhall, Suffolk base. Select "Collect — Mildenhall, Suffolk" in the quote tool. Once your order is ready, we'll message you and you can pick it up at a time that suits you.
What are the delivery options?
  • Free collection — Mildenhall, Suffolk
  • £3.95 — Standard Royal Mail tracked post (most UK addresses 1–2 working days)
  • £7.00 — Larger parcel rate (heavier or bulky orders)
